A Trap Phone works just like any app you can install from the App Store. Because we don't require any email, phone number, or name, we didn't want to distribute it through Apple or Google's App Store. Instead, we have a secure way for you to install our app below.

A Trap Phone works different than a normal phone number. Here's how it works
Send one person a link. They tap it and you are talking, with nothing for them to install and no account to make.
That is the point until you decide otherwise. Send somebody a link and they can, and nobody else ever will.
While you wait, put this on your Home Screen.
Your phone will tell you the moment they answer, and your browser stops being allowed to throw your trap phone away.

Notifications for Trap Phone are turned off in this iPhone’s Settings. Turning them back on takes four taps:

An invite code, from the person who wants to chat with you. Typing it in puts you straight into a conversation with them. There is nothing to wait for and nobody has to let you in. If you were sent a link, tapping it does the same thing.

They can never reach you again: not from a new phone, not from a new account, not through anyone you both know. It cannot be undone.
Holding for two seconds is the confirmation. Letting go early cancels.
These come from the server itself, live. If you set a passcode phrase, it also holds one locked copy of this trap phone, which it cannot open. Otherwise the only facts it has are when this trap phone first connected and when it last did.
Safari deletes the storage for ordinary websites after seven days of not visiting. Add Trap Phone to your Home Screen and it stops being an ordinary website.
This device forgets this trap phone: who you are, who you talk to, and every message on it.
You can change this until somebody uses the link.
It stops working at the end of that day, your time.

Your chats, your invites and your groups go. Your passcode phrase stops working. Nobody can reach you here again.
The people you have talked to keep the messages already on their phones. Nobody can take those back, including us.
There is nobody to ask for it back. No account to recover, no support to write to, and no copy anywhere.
It is gone from this phone and gone from us. The phrase you had no longer opens anything. If you want another one, it starts from nothing, with a new way for people to reach you.
